In the outskirts of Lisbon is located one of the most important UNESCO sites in Portugal: SINTRA. This itinerary, starts with a visit to the Queluz national palace, the Portuguese Versailles. Then we head to Sintra, one of Portugal’s most extraordinary corners, with its magical palaces and irresistible traditional sweets. After lunch, time to contemplate the vast horizon of Cape Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe.

Cascais Bay is a postcard. Formerly an ancient Roman fishing town, now one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan beach resorts. Our tour will now follow the river line and stop at Estoril, where you can visit the famous casino that inspired Yan Flemming to write the first James Bond book: Casino Royale.

And let’s not forget the souvenir shops selling typical local items. We will stop in the historic center where you can taste the famous “travesseiros” and “queijadas” at the Piriquita Pastry Shop and explore the narrow cobbled streets of the most romantic town in Portugal. Time to visit one of these palaces: Sintra national palace, Pena palace , Quinta da Regaleira , palace of Monserrate (optional visit)
