This is is one of the most comprehensive tours we provide. You will be embraced by the history and culture of both modern and traditional Portugal.
We start in the capital Lisbon, with its seven hills and the magic of its day-light, covering also the cosmopolitan surrounding areas of Cascais and Estoril and the romantic world of Sintra.
Heading south to Evora, the capital of the Alentejo, surrounded by medieval walls, we’ll visit the UNESCO historic area and explore its famous cork and wine country.
The following day we go north towards two major stops: Coimbra and Aveiro.
Porto will be our next destination: the city of the Douro River, Port wine, Lello’s Bookstore and Ribeira. We set aside a day to enjoy the Douro Valley, a unique landscape built over thousands of years by generations of winemakers, the place where Port wine was born.
The Minho region is introduced through the city of Guimaraes, the “cradle” of Portuguese Nation, and Braga the city of the archbishops.
We will witness amazing landscapes at Serra da Estrela, the tallest mountain in Portugal. We will even visit a….Bread Museum.
We will also visit some of the oldest historical villages of interior Portugal, that seem to have been lost in time.
We’ll visit the headquarters of the Knights Templar order in Europe and so many other places that you will carry in your memories for many years to come.
